Maintenance contract
L.I.C. Software Development B.V. (L.I.C.) and its employees work hard every day to ensure that BFW functions smoothly. However, due to internal or external causes, support from L.I.C. employees may be desirable and sometimes even necessary.
L.I.C. is constantly working on the development of BFW. Frequently occurring requests from various customers, newly acquired insights or changes to operating or network systems (e.g. Windows) may lead to adjustments to the software. External factors such as legislation and regulations, technical construction standards or agreements between industry associations can also lead to adjustments to the functionality of BFW.
In addition, BFW is a business-critical system and problems can lead to disruption of all kinds of business processes.
It is therefore necessary for customers to take out a maintenance contract for BFW (OHC). Under the maintenance contract, customers receive, among other things:
- Access to the helpdesk;
- Annual updates of BFW;
- Minor adjustments free of charge;
- Discount on the hourly rate for larger customer-specific adjustments, for example;
- Discount on the purchase of new modules.
L.I.C. supports customers for up to 3 months after installation of the basic module. After that, support is only provided if a customer has taken out a maintenance contract with L.I.C.

BFW-updates
L.I.C. regularly releases general updates for BFW. For customers with a maintenance contract, general updates are free of charge. Customers without a maintenance contract cannot be updated, as updates are only made for the most current version of BFW.
